About Us

Printing and Designing began years ago as a dream of a young man attending Lanier High School.... that dream became a reality.

The current location of Printing and Designing has been a mainstay of the Westside community since 1977. Its founder, Rudy Cisneros, worked diligently to establish its presence throughout San Antonio and its surrounding areas. This establishment was thriving long before Branding and Domain Names were commonplace. He knew that location and familiarity were keys to success. Rudy was a hard worker and skilled at the art of Old School Printing i.e., moveable-type and was able to spear head any printing project from start to finish.  The artistry and precision of his handy work was ongoing up until his passing in 2006.

Rudy's daughter, Margie Salinas, now owner, has herself been at this same shop since 1983. She studied graphic design at a local university, and in addition has 40 years of experience, which most was spent under her father's tutelage. Moreover, in that span of time she has developed a keen eye, that is quick to self-critique and manifest good taste in Color, Composition, Creative Font use.  This knowledge aids in bringing together the total concept that a client endeavors to dream up. 

Rudy's youngest daughter, Sonia, has recently returned to help Margie continue with their father's legacy.  They are what remain of his life as a printer and being that they grew up around the printing industry, their driving force is to carry on with his commitment to satisfy and when possible, surpass a client’s expectations.  Quality and consistency (a job well done) were also things Rudy instilled in his daughters' early work ethic and is continually exemplified by them today.
